Preben Dal (1934-2016) was a Danish furniture designer known for his innovative and functional designs, characterized by its clean lines and simplicity. Many of his furniture designs are still produced to this day and continue to be celebrated for their timeless elegance. His legacy continues to inspire contemporary designers on a daily.
A trio of illustrations to complement the renowned abstract and geometric shaped Preben Dal pendants manufactured by Hans Følsgaard AS. These pendants do not bare a model name, since it was produced in very low numbers for a specific client. Being made of long brushed steel angled slats and a yellow lacquered inside, they reflect light in a very bold and futuristic way. The illustrations highlight the minimalist, yet intricate, design achieved through precisely arranged metal slats. They emphasize the geometric simplicity that forms a complex whole.
